Cyfle Cymru is our Peer Mentoring – Out of Work Service which supports people towards substance misuse recovery / mental health resilience into education, training, volunteering and employment.
The service works across Gwent and Powys and is based out of The Hub Newport, St Fagans House Caerphilly, The Lighthouse Pontypool, The Junction Chepstow, Chambers House Blackwood, Cru Glas Ebbw Vale and The Citadel Tredegar, The Old Grovsner Bakery Llandrindod Wells, Severn House Newtown, The Armoury Welshpool, and 9 Castle Street Brecon.
The Peer Mentoring service offers one to one support and guidance around confidence building, mental health wellbeing, employability skills, job search and CV writing. The service aims to support some of the most vulnerable in our society to achieve their individual personal and development goals.
Peer Mentors and our specialist Employment Support Lead draw on their own experiences to advocate for and advice participants providing a person centred and specialist approach to recovery from substance misuse and resilience to mental health conditions.
The service works closely with treatment providers and community programmes throughout Gwent to ensure that service users are accessing all opportunities available to them.
If you would like to discuss how the Peer Mentoring Service can support your project via bespoke workshops, drop in clinics, or make a referral then please get in contact.
