South Wales Drug Intervention Programme
In July 2008 Kaleidoscope was awarded the Rapid Access to Prescribing Service as part of the South Wales DIP.
To date Kaleidoscope RAPS is the largest single prescriber of opiate substitute dispensing, and with the addition of Iris recognition this has added a new dimension to our working practice.
Iris recognition is not a new development, but added to our ‘on screen photograph’ this is a unique safeguard in prescribing.
The South Wales DIP RAPS is a 26 week treatment programme, which positively challenges and supports our clients to make changes. We work closely with partner agencies to provide a service that is both pro-active and supportive.
Our aim is to empower clients to set, maintain and achieve realistic goals.
