Kaleidoscopes have been working with volunteers since the organisations inception in 1968. Volunteers have always been an integral part of our organisation and we are very proud that approximately 80% of our staff started working in the substance misuse field as volunteers.
All our volunteers receive a structured Induction session and are offered Internal and External Training which is both Accredited and Non Accredited. Our Volunteers are also able to access our staff Work Force Development Program to aid with their Continued Professional Development.
We celebrate the achievements of our Volunteers on an annual basis and include an award for Volunteer of the Year in our annual staff awards.
Our volunteers also receive external recognition and recently were awarded the Gwent Association of Volunteers, Contribution to The Community award in Newport.
